WELCOME TO OUR ROAM FLORA ORIGINALS DAHLIA SALE!Over the past 7 years we have been diving deep into dahlias.  We have been growing from our own seed, flagging the winners, digging up the tubers, dividing tuber clumps, storing and replanting them. We have been observing and noting their characteristics, culling the ones that don't stand up, and making cuttings of the ones we absolutely adore. We take endless notes and photos and we are now ready to share with you 34 varieties that we think are the bees knees. This has been a very labour intensive process but we have loved every step of the way and we are excited to send these beauties out into the world (or at least across Canada). 

When we started Roam Flora in 2019, we were so excited and so hopeful and leaned hard on our passion while we learned everything we could and solved problem after problem. To be honest, without a pinch hopeful ignorance and a large scoop of that eager enthusiasm we wouldn't have jumped right in- all the way in! Over the past 7 years we have learned an unbelievable amount. We have experienced intense hardship and joyful wins and everything in between. Farming is incredibly hard and you need to get really good at learning from your failures and moving on, because you will fail, a lot.

When we started growing dahlias on a large scale we realized how much disease plagues these beautiful flowers. We invested to bring in new and exciting varieties only to realize that some had gall... it was beyond frustrating. That's one of the reasons we started breeding. We wanted new varieties but we didn't want to risk bringing in any outside plants. We now grow only Roam Flora Dahlias and we will never go back. Every year we plant out 2500-4000 dahlias from seed and from that we flag around 30-80 beauties. The next year probably only half of those will make it to round two and so on. We want to supply our customers with only the best as we couldn't do this without you.

PLEASE NOTE:

- Please follow our "LIMIT" rules. We have added limits to some of our varieties. Please respect these rules and do not add more tubers than the limit allows. If you do, the extra tubers will be returned/removed from your order. We have added these limits to allow for as many people as possible to enjoy the varieties we have created.

- We can only ship dahlia tubers when there is no risk of freezing. Orders will ship out sometime in April depending on the weather.
