Dahlia Tuber Sale — Terms & Conditions

Please read the following terms carefully before placing your order. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined below.

1. Shopping Cart & Checkout

Adding items to your shopping cart does not reserve them. All orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and tubers are only secured once checkout has been successfully completed.

We understand this can be frustrating during a busy sale! Unfortunately, our e-commerce platform does not allow us to change how cart reservations work. We appreciate your understanding.

2. Tuber Availability

On rare occasions, a tuber may become unavailable due to storage issues or fail our final quality inspection.

If this happens, we will contact you by email to discuss your options. You can choose a different tuber, subject to availability, or receive a refund for the unavailable item.

We will never substitute a tuber without your approval. Please ensure your email address is correct when placing your order and keep an eye on your inbox so we can resolve any issues before your order ships.

3. Product Quality & Satisfaction

We take great care when selecting, storing, and packing our dahlia tubers. We guarantee that each tuber will arrive in excellent condition, with at least one visible growth eye.

Please inspect your tubers as soon as your order arrives. If you have any concerns about the condition of a tuber upon arrival, email us atinfo@roamflora.ca within 10 days of delivery. Please include your order number and clear photographs of the tuber(s) in question. We want you to be happy with your purchase and will do our best to help resolve any concerns.

Once your tubers are in your care, their success depends on proper storage, handling, planting, and growing conditions. We cannot guarantee sprouting, growth, flowering, or overall plant performance, and we cannot be responsible for losses resulting from improper storage or handling after delivery, adverse weather, growing conditions, or pest damage.

Varietal Accuracy

We guarantee that your dahlias will grow true to the variety you purchased. We work hard to ensure every variety is correctly identified and sorted, but when you're dividing thousands of tubers, the occasional mistake can happen — we're only human!

If you believe a dahlia has grown into a different variety than the one you ordered, please email us during the growing season with your order number and clear photographs of the plant and its blooms. We'll review the issue and work with you to find a resolution.

4. Spring Shipping

Dahlia tubers will ship in the spring, when weather conditions are suitable and the risk of freezing in transit is sufficiently low.

Shipping dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. We will do our best to dispatch orders as soon as conditions permit, while taking care to protect your tubers during transit.

Thank you for your patience while we wait for the right shipping conditions. We want your tubers to arrive safely and ready for the growing season!

5. Local Pickup

Local pickup is available at our Roam retail shop:

Ottawa, Ontario

You'll find us in the mini-mall behind Cadmans Bagels, near the corner of Carling Avenue and Woodroffe Avenue.

Please note: Farm pickup is no longer available. All pickup orders must be collected from our retail shop. This change helps us streamline staffing and order processing.

We'll also have seeds available for purchase at the shop, so feel free to pick up a few extras when you collect your order!

6. Reselling Roam Flora Tubers & Verified Growers

We're happy to see our dahlias find their way into more gardens! If you purchase tubers from Roam Flora with the intention of reselling them,you must clearly credit Roam Flora as the original source of the tubers and include a link toroamflora.ca in your product listings and sales descriptions.

Interested in becoming aRoam Flora Verified Grower? We welcome applications from growers who would like to be recognized and listed on our website. To be considered, you must submit an application for review. Applications are reviewed individually, and approval is not guaranteed. Please email us at info@roamflora.ca to find out more.
